Tamarindo Costa Rica Surfing
Tamarindo was one of the pioneer surfing destinations in Central America. Since the 1970s, surfers of all skill levels from around the world have travelled here to surf our iconic beaches.
Pueblo Dorado Surf Hotel is sister to Witch’s Rock Surf Camp. Located at the corner of the Tamarindo Estuary, the wind and tidal conditions create separate and distinct wave breaks on one single stretch of shoreline. That is why we have access to waves for all surfing levels at Playa Tamarindo, right in our front yard. Aside from Tamarindo beach, we are just a short boat or car ride away from a wide array of other types of surf breaks.
Whether you want to learn to surf, improve your surfing, or surf the best waves that Costa Rica has to offer until your arms feel like jelly, we have what you are looking for.
Witch’s Rock has been the most popular Costa Rica surf camp since 2001. Learn how to surf in Spanish or English from our experienced instructors, with the aid of classroom-style surf seminars, lessons in the water, surfboard rentals, video analysis, and surf expeditions.
Learning something new can shake you up in the best possible way, adding passion and excitement into your life!
Advanced Surfers are covered here too. Do you want to surf great waves until you can’t surf anymore? We get it. Most of the staff members at Witch’s Rock wake up every morning with those exact thoughts in mind. We are experienced surfers who know all of the best local spots. We will take you by van or boat to the places where you can catch maximum rides with a local ripper.
Experience surfing all of Guanacaste’s famous breaks including Playa Grande, Playa Avellanas, Marbella, Witch’s Rock, and Ollie’s Point. This will be a surf trip that you will never forget. No need to rent a car!
