October Surf Forecast Looking Good!

Costa Rica Tamarindo Surf Report:

Let's be honest- sometimes you plan a surf trip months in advance, and when you finally get to your dream destination, the waves are flat. People tell you how good it was last week, or how good it will be next week, but that doesn't help the fact that you got skunked. And while this can happen anywhere, it sure is nice when you take those last minute surf trips because you know you're going to score.

This week- no, this entire month of October, waves are hitting the Pacific coast nonstop. If you have been contemplating a last surf trip of the summer, its not too late. The road is now paved the entire way from San Jose to Tamarindo. Flights to Liberia Costa Rica are quite affordable throughout this entire month.

The crowds have been light and the sun has been shining like you wouldn't believe. Hopefully we'll see you surfing in Tamarindo :)

To be clear, these forecasts aren't always 100% reliable. Plus, local factors like onshore winds or torrential rains can change the conditions at your local surf break.

The takeaway here is that it is obvious that Costa Rica is expecting plenty of swell from the south/southwest over the next few weeks.
